Kelley Jimenez, Speech Therapist
Kelley graduated from the University of Texas Austin in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Communication Sciences and Disorders, then gained pediatric/early intervention experience as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) for a year, then earned a Master of Science (M.S.) in Speech Language Pathology from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in 2019.
Kelley has since been working as an ASHA Certified Speech Language Pathologist (CCC) in various settings including: private practice clinics, home health, inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, schools, and skilled nursing facilities. Kelley is VitalStim certified, providing intensive treatment to the geriatric population living with swallowing disorders (dysphagia).
Kelley's clinical interests include improving the lives of stroke survivors, persons with Parkinson's and Dementia, focusing on improving quality of life by treating cognitive- communication deficits and swallowing disorders, while providing support, strategies, and education to family members and caregivers.
Outside of work, Kelley enjoys exploring outdoors (hiking, walking in nature, beach days), singing, crafting handmade jewelry, and spending time with her family, friends, husband and their 2 cats.
