Laura Simmons, LPTA

Laura is an Arizona native who attended Pima Medical Institute in Tucson, AZ earning her occupational associate in physical therapist assistant in 2015 and continued for her Bachelor of Science degree in physical therapist assistant in 2018. Upon her 2015 graduation she started working at the Department of Veterans Affairs hospital and stayed for 8 years until her family recently moved to the east coast. Laura has complex case experience helping individuals with dizziness/vestibular disorders, amputations, post-operative, and neurologic diagnoses including traumatic brain injury, stroke, and Parkinson's Disease. 

She enjoys helping people reach their goals! As a new team member with Virginian Rehabilitation and Wellness in 2024, Laura became certified in LSVT BIG® to help our Parkinson's community.

Besides therapy Laura has been in the Marine Corps reserve since 2005 and is currently still serving. Laura enjoys spending time outside with her husband and daughter.
